Dr. Palmquist is an Omaha podiatrist specializing in heel pain, sports injuries, and reconstructive surgery. He founded Momentum Foot and Ankle Wellness Center with a straightforward goal: give patients access to treatments that actually work, delivered without the runaround. His practice centers on radial shockwave therapy, laser procedures, custom orthotics, and ingrown toenail care — tools he’s chosen because the results speak for themselves.

Dr. Palmquist grew up on a family farm in northwest Iowa, earned his undergraduate degree from Morningside College, and completed his doctorate at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago. His three-year residency took him to the San Francisco Bay Area — training at the Palo Alto VA Medical Center, Stanford University, and Kaiser Permanente, among other settings — giving him a breadth of clinical experience that’s hard to replicate in a single-site training program.

Before settling in Omaha, he practiced in Waterloo and the Quad Cities and served on the residency faculty at Covenant Medical Center. He brought all of it with him when he opened Momentum’s doors.

Outside the clinic, he’s most likely on a golf course or a basketball court — or at home with Shannon, their son Ted, and a dog named Pepper.

Whether you’re calling to schedule your first visit or standing at the front desk wondering what happens next, she’s who you’ll talk to, and she genuinely likes making that part easy. She joined Momentum in 2023 and has been the steady, welcoming presence at the center of everything since day one.
