How it works
Laser light penetrates the skin and raises the temperature of the blood vessel and safely coagulates it. The laser parameters are matched to your skin type to assure exact and gentle treatments. A variety of leg veins, ranging from superficial to deeper blood vessels respond well to laser therapy. Spider veins (the dilated vessels near the surface that sometimes look like a spider’s web) and varicose veins (small bluish colored veins) are great candidates for laser treatment.
Is it painful?
Pain tolerance is very much dependent upon the individual. Most people tolerate the procedure well and describe the sensation as a rubber band snap to the skin. External cooling can be applied to help relieve pain as well. Generally, no anesthesia is required.
